The Human Condition Revisited

Exploring the implications of understanding ourselves as Dynamic Complex Systems.

Humans are embedded in and are comprised of Dynamic, Complex Systems of astonishing complexity, richness and eloquence: Systems such as conscious thought, memory, knowledge, meaning, culture, patterns of energy, structures and history.

What does this mean for how we view and understand ourselves?

My personal goal for exploring this topic is to understand the mental and emotional benefits of embracing, wading into, discovering and rediscovering, our existence as and participation in the dynamic complex systems.

Let’s begin by incrementally unfolding the topics around the idea of Dynamic Complex Systems (DCS) and examining the implications of understanding humans as:

  • Embedded within interconnected networks of DCSs

  • As comprised of networks of DCSs

  • As occupying a place at the interface or surface area between complex systems
